Currently, the storage year starts 1 May and ends 30 April the following year in the storage facilities of GSD. As known, the seasonal contracts on hubs are traded for the period starting on 1 April and ending on 31 March.

Pursuant to GSD’s market consultation on storage 2022-2037, we can conclude, that a majority of the storage customers would prefer to align the storage year with the standard contracts traded on hubs. Therefore, GSD has decided to perform a transition to have the storage year start 1st April instead.

However, as such a transition will affect the operations of the storage facilities in respect of already concluded storage agreements with end date 30 April 2022, GSD will handle the transition in a rolling manner as agreed with each customer. The goal is to have all storage agreements aligned with the new storage year start per 1st April 2023 at the latest.
