Gas Storage Denmark is historically founded through two major acquisitions by Energinet – the acquisition of Lille Torup gas storage facility in 2006 and the acquisition of Stenlille gas storage facility in 2014. Both facilities were acquired from DONG Energy (now Ørsted A/S). As result of this historical development and since 2016, Gas Storage Denmark has been legally constituted of four entities – two holding companies and two operating companies - operating as one storage with common management, vision, strategy and operational planning.

To simplify and streamline the structure, Gas Storage Denmark is now merging the entities into only two; one holding company and one operating company.

Though the merger implies no changes in terms of neither ownership or management nor competences or employees, our suppliers may encounter some changes as all invoices to Gas Storage Denmark A/S as of 1st November 2019 should be issued to the below recipient stating both EAN and CVR number:
