In previous years, GSD has established the practice of maintaining our two storage facilities at Lille Torup and Stenlille in shift so that storage customer’s booked firm capacities remain unaffected during maintenance.

Unfortunately, GSD has reached the conclusion that this good practice will not be achievable during the current storage year due to required additional unscheduled maintenance on top of already scheduled maintenance.

The additional maintenance needs to be performed before proceeding with further injection in the storage facility at Stenlille and will include sand cleanup of wells and maintenance of one of the compressors at the site.

The additional maintenance will start on 16 May 2024 at 06:00 a.m. and end on 20 July 2024 at 06.00 a.m. During this period:

During the period of reduced capacity, all available capacity will be allocated on firm and interruptible terms pro rata to the received nominations.

Therefore, GSD advice storage customers to nominate as usual.

Firstly, the available injection capacity will be allocated to firm injection pro rata to the received nominations; and

Secondly, if all nominated injection capacity has been allocated and there is still available injection capacity, the remaining injection capacity will be allocated as interruptible capacity pro rata to the received nominations.

The same method will be applied for the allocation of the available withdrawal capacity.

In case there are nominations for both injection and withdrawal in one hour, GSD will be able to allocate additional injection capacity (more than indicated in the table above) corresponding to the received and confirmed nominations for withdrawal in that hour.

Please note, that the indicated availability shown above is a TOTAL AVAILABILITY, which will be applied in case all storage customers nominate 100% their booked firm injection capacity. Then all received nominations will be reduced by the percentages shown in the table above.

Also, GSD will compensate all storage customers for hourly interruptions of booked firm injection and withdrawal capacities during the period from 16 May 2024 at 06.00 to 20 July 2024 at 06.00. The compensation will be settled EX-POST after the maintenance work, corresponding to the accumulated hourly interruptions during the period, calculated as the positive difference between the Nominated Capacity up to the Maximum Booked Capacity minus the Allocated Capacity, times the Monthly Price used by GSD for invoicing short-term unbundled injection and withdrawal capacity. The calculation of the compensation will be performed in August regarding May, June and July and credited on the invoice for September. However, May, June and July will be invoiced as usual.
